In June, the vibrant spirit of Capoeira filled the air as Capoeira Porto da Barra Group in Tallinn hosted its 5° Batizado e Troca de Cordas event. It was a time of celebration, learning, and unity as capoeiristas of all levels came together to mark this special occasion.
The Batizado, a traditional ceremony in Capoeira, is a momentous event where new students are welcomed into the fold and existing practitioners receive their new belts (cordas). It’s a time of recognition and growth, a testament to the dedication and hard work put in by each capoeirista.
This year’s event was nothing short of extraordinary. From the mesmerizing roda to the uplifting music, the energy was infectious, and the sense of community was palpable. The highlight, of course, was witnessing the smiles and pride of those who received their new cordas, a symbol of their progress and commitment to the art of Capoeira.
